A beautiful antique, Victorian era, 1/4 14K gold shell locket, C. 1901-1915. The front has a terrific pinwheel or spiral design with highly shined finish. The back is plain and can be engraved with a name or monogram if desired. A timeless antique locket and easy to wear style.
Locket opens and closes properly with a click and tight seal. Both original interior frames and covers are intact and ready for photos. Light surface scratches on the front and back. Very good condition overall.
Measures approximately 1" in diameter.
1/4G has a higher gold content than gold filled jewelry. The locket's marking indicates 1/4 of the metal weight is solid 14K gold.
